LAKE WALES -- Ms. Michelle R. Walker of Lake Wales died of cancer Thursday (Nov. 17, 2005) in Interlachen. She was 44.

Born in Wabash, Ind., on April 24, 1961, she came to Lake Wales from New Webster, Ind., in 1989. She was the owner and operator of Lake Wales Vac and Sew and Formal Wear. She attended Interlachen Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Scott Williams, Winter Park; parents, Homer L. "Pete" and Sharon E. Barton, Interlachen; sisters, Cindy Judd, Columbia City, Ind., Bobbie Keeley, Palatka, Jean Marie Garard, West Palm Beach.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Lake Wales Cemetery.
