Michael L. Stroud

Michael L. Stroud, 53, of Port Byron, Illinois (formerly of Andalusia), died Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois. Services for Mr. Stroud will be 10 AM Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home (201 East 4th Avenue, Milan). Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. A memorial service will also be held in Lake Wales, Florida, 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.

Michael was born April 2, 1958 in Rock Island, the son of Jack L. Stroud and Eleanor M. Brown Stroud. He married Darlos Heidenreich on October 21, 1978 in Edgington, Illinois. Mr. Stroud worked as a truck driver for over 20 years, retiring in 2005. Mike was a huge sports fan. He enjoyed football, NASCAR and drag racing. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Mike also enjoyed cars.

Survivors include his wife, Darlos; children, Stephanie (Brian) Witt of Lake Wales, and Paul (Jessica) Stroud of Winter Haven; grandchildren, Michael, Brooke and Olivia; brother, Jeff Stroud and fiancée, Chris Schmidt of Andalusia; sister, Marsha Stroud and companion, Jerry Kraft.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
