Michael Ranta

Michael Robert Ranta of Nalcrest passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2012 at his residence.

He was born September 6, 1943 in San Rafael, CA to the late Taisto Robert & Marjorie Ranta; he was a lifelong resident of Lake Worth before retiring and moving to Lake Wales in August. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lake Worth and was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, softball, baseball and fishing in Minnesota.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Debbie Ranta; two daughters, Cynthia Vanson of Lake Worth and Sara Ranta of Lake Worth; one son, Brian Ranta of Lake Worth; two sisters, Robbie Boice of Rockledge and Sally Brackney of Burnsville, MN; one brother, Jerry Ranta of Edina, MN; six granddaughters, one grandson and three great-grandsons.
