Michael Lynn Phillips of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his wife, daughter, and son-in-law. He passed peacefully in his sleep.

He was born May 23, 1971 in Bartow to the late Bennie Phillips (Edna Phillips) and Linda Guffey; he moved to Lake Wales from Auburndale to enjoy the great fishing that Lake Wales has to offer. Michael loved fishing, animals, and picking on people. Michael is survived by his wife of 28 years, Angela Phillips; daughter, Katelynn Phillips (Jacob Dewar) of Tampa; sister, Theresa Phillips of Winter Haven; and granddog, Rylai.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Please dress casually for the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colon Cancer Coalition ( coloncancercoalition.org ).
