Michael Christopher Nicks

Michael Christopher Nicks of Crawfordville, Florida passed away on January 11, 2023, in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Michael was born on February 3, 1960, in San Diego, California to Charles and Nancy Nicks, after living in California, Texas and Alabama he moved with his family to Franklin, Pennsylvania when he was nine. He grew up playing all sports but especially excelled in high school basketball. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1978 and went on to study at the University of Florida where he graduated with a degree in business administration.

He worked in management for GNC. Michael enjoyed sports and the outdoors. In his spare time, he loved running, fishing, music, writing and travel.

He is preceded in death by his father Charles and mother Nancy Nicks.

He is survived by his wife, Sonia, her children, and grandchildren, also surviving are his twin brother Mark Nicks of Crawfordville, Florida, a brother Charles Nicks of Franklin, Tennessee, a sister Jennifer Anderson of Lake Wales, Florida, several nieces, and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held in the Florida Keys. A Memorial service will be planned at a later date.
