Michael J. Dechene, “Mouse”, of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his residence in Frostproof. He was born February 16, 1951 in Lewiston, Maine to Fernand and the late Barbara (McMahan) Dechene. He was an auto body technician and of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Saracen’s Club. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara and husband, Jonathan of Oxford, CT; son, Michael Libbey of Frostproof; step-mother, Jean Dechene of Bradenton; sisters, Susan Baibak and husband, John of Enfield, CT, Sandra Dechene of Santa Rosa, CA and Jennifer Thomas of Fayetteville, NC; brothers, Matthew Dechene of North Fort Myers, Joseph Dechene and wife, Maggie of Nashua, NH, Ron Dechene and husband, Robert Hovden of Seattle, WA and Bill Dechene of Enfield, CT; and two grandchildren, Noah and Christopher. He was especially loved by his Aunt Theresa Morin of Lewiston, ME. Memorial service will be held 2:00PM Friday, July 8, 2016 with Fr. David Vargas officiating at Marion Nelson Funeral Home Frostproof. Donations can be made in his honor to the Vet Group or Pet Rescue of your choice.
