Michael Alan (Mike) Castro

Mike, 75, passed away Friday, November 11, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.  He was a resident at Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Mike graduated from Lake Wales (FL) High School and served in the United States Army and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He also had a long career in law enforcement retiring from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office as a Sergeant and later joined the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office as a recruiting officer. Mike studied criminal justice at the University of Florida and was an avid Gators fan.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as riding his motorcycle.  Mike was a member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club PA Chapter XII.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Raoul and Frances (Clark) Castro, and a son, Robert Castro.  He is survived by his wife, Donna and his children, Aubrey LeVeque (Ryan) of Eagle Point, OR, Melanie Hutcheson (Steven) of Lithia, FL and Michael Castro (Chantele) of Lakeland, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Riley, Aiden, Benjamin and Terri as well as stepson Robert Wiltrout (Lori) and a stepdaughter Amanda Carbaugh (Ryan).
