Meredith Junior Booker

Meredith J. Booker of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Haines City.

He was born August 14, 1922 in Pinch, WV to the late William Frazier & Iva Jane (Giles) Booker; he came here from Groveport, OH 23 years ago. He was a retired boiler operator.

Meredith was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Juanita Booker; daughters, Diane, Trisha and Susan; sons, Scott Booker of Babson Park, Meredith Booker Jr. of Sarasota, Steve Blevins of Grove City, OH, David Blevins of Reynoldsburg, OH, Eddie Blevins of Lake Wales and Mike Booker of Oklahoma City, OK; 24 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
