Melvyn Douglas Riff passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014. Born on October 31, 1939 in Florence, South Carolina. Mel was raised in Fairmont, North Carolina. He attended East Carolina University where he met Nancy Sue Dixon. He later transferred and graduated from University of Miami in 1963. Our Dad was a longtime businessman and developer in South Florida. He loved to fish in South Florida and the Bahama’s.

He is survived by his former wife Sue D. Riff; 3 sons, David of Homestead, Florida; Mark and his wife Lisa of Haines City, Florida; Carr and his wife Susan of Lake Wales, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Marshall, Anne, John Carr, Jake and Jason; 5 great grandchildren, Riley, Gracie, Brooklyn, Ava and John Carr, Jr.; Uncle Robert Weinstein and his sons, Ricky, Randy and Lenny.
