Melba Vega Frisco

Melba Vega Frisco of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at her residence.

She was born April 21, 1931 in Managua, Nicaragua to the late Santiago Vega & Graciela Guerrero Vega; and she came to the area 15 years ago from Casselberry. She was a homemaker and member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was the matriarch of her family and had a deep faith in Jesus. She loved her large family and animals.

Melba was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Albert Kuchinskas; second husband, Louis Frisco; and a daughter, Anabelle Luckey. Survivors include her children, Edward Kuchinskas (Cheryl) of Frostproof, Jerrold Kuchinskas (Vicky) of Lake Wales, Melba Will of Orlando, Cecilia Osborn (Ray) of Casselberry, Rhody Frisco of Sanford, John Frisco (Barbara) of St. Pete, David Frisco of New Mexico, Heath Frisco (Michelle) of Riverview and Daniela Sherrod (Julian) of Rocky Point; 27 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Memorial mass will be held 9:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Winter Haven.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a local animal rescue or Humane Society.
