FROSTPROOF--Maxine K. Sangster, 83, of Frostproof passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 due to heart failure at Palm Terrace of Lakeland.

Born September 24, 1924 in Frostproof, FL; she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a citrus grower and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Frostproof Women's Club. She also enjoyed cooking, family time, and working in her yard.

Maxine was preceded by her husband, Frank W. Sangster in 1995 and parents, David & Mamie Knight. Survivors include her daughters, Jan, and husband, Dean Langford of Babson Park; Stephanie, and husband, Skip Kauffman of Lakeland; grandchildren, Ryan Langford, Evan Langford, Sheree Keller, and Steven Kauffman; great-grandchildren, Derek and Drew Keller, and Tristan and Alana Kauffman.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2007 at First Baptist Church, Frostproof. For those who wish, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 96 West B Street, Frostproof, Florida 33843.
