Maxene Dedman

Maxene Dedman of Lake Wales passed away Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born July 13, 1918 in Opdyke, IL to the late Thomas S. & Pearl (McCoy) Pace; and moved to Lake Wales from Mount Vernon, IL in 2002. She was a retired bookkeeper from Montgomery Ward and a member of the Logan Street Baptist Church.

Maxene was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Dedman; a daughter, Linda Lee Helsing; brothers, Robert Pace and Delbert Pace; and a sister, Alice Kelly. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Glasco (Roger) of Lake Wales and Marilyn Liles of Winter Haven; sister, Pansy Oppelt of Opdyke, IL; brother, George Pace of Fairview Heights, IL; 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

No local service are scheduled at this time, a graveside service and burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, IL under the direction of Hughey Funeral Home.
