Maudie Estelle Goodman

Maudie Estelle Goodman of Lake Wales passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born May 6, 1917 in Metter, GA to the late Samuel B. Nelson and Maudie E. Murray Nelson; she came here from Butler, PA in 1978. She was a retired Dietetic employee for the U.S. Government in Butler, PA and a desk clerk for the Econo-Lodge in Lake Wales. She attended the Golfview Baptist Church.

Estelle was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Goodman in 1977. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Willie Lee Coker of Lake Wales; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 14, 2010 and the funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
