LAKE WALES -- Ms. Maudie Mae Campbell of Lake Wales died of heart failure Monday (Sept. 11, 2006) at Dove Healthcare. She was 85.
Born in Barbour County, Ala., on Jan. 28, 1921, she came to Lake Wales from Alabama in 2001. She was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
Ms. Campbell is survived by her sisters, Merle Farabee, Lake Wales, Addie Lou Barefield, Avon Park, Nettie Joe Shipes, Dothan, Ala.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Burial will be in Sikes Creek Church Cemetery in Clio, Ala.
