Matt Starnes of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at his residence.
He was born February 13, 1986 in Lake Wales and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was an avid reader and enjoyed reading quantum physics. He was a musician and enjoyed playing baseball and football in school. He was an accomplished artist and a writer.
Survivors include his father, Brian P. Starnes of Orlando; mother, Laurie D. Helm of Altamonte Springs; sister, Haley Starnes of Orlando; maternal grandparents, Gary & Shirley Helm of Lake Wales; and paternal grandmother, Linda Starnes of Emory, TX.
A Celebration of life service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the family's residence in Lake Wales.
