MARY  GILLEY  SPRADLEN,  72

Mary Gilley Spradlen of Frostproof passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring.

She was born March 21, 1949 in Bonifay, FL to the late Henry and Martha Gilley; she came here from Bonifay in 1957. She was a caregiver and member of the Frostproof Church of God. She loved taking care of her kids and anyone else’s kids.

Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Spradlen; sister, Mary Caudill; brothers, Bobby and Billy Gilley; and one step-son, Donnie Spradlen. Survivors include her son, Thomas G. Spradlen of Frostproof; step-daughter, Melinda Bijeaux of Cedartown, GA; sisters, Martha Jay of Bay Minette, AL, Sarah Burkhalter of Frostproof, Patricia Snyder of Lake Wales, Barbara Lewis of Fort Meade, Teresa Gilley of Lake Wales and Carolyn Patterson of Winter Haven; brothers, David Gilley of Winter Haven and James Gilley of Frostproof; and one grandson, Jared of Frostproof.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Frostproof Church of God and the funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Frostproof Church of God. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.
