Mary Elizbeth Shiver

Mary Elizabeth Shiver, 88 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was born on July 14, 1927 in Waverly, Florida to the late Walter and Lillian (Johnson) Rhodes and she has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was a Housekeeper for Mountain Lake Corp. Mary was an avid fisher woman and attended the Westside Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melos Shiver; brothers, James Rhodes, Grover Rhodes, Walter Rhodes; sisters, Irene Shiver, Audie Buzzard, Dolly Dukes and Dora Wright.

Survivors include her daughters, Gloria J. Ayers and husband Charles of Winter Haven, Patricia Claytor and husband Ron of Lake Wales; 4 grandchildren, Michael, Terry, Stacey and Tammy; 6 great grandchildren, C.J., Lucas, Grace, Corbin, Kyle and Summer.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Lake Wales Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug 26, 2015 from 9:30 am until 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home.
