Mary Lee Newell, 77

Mary L. Newell of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born July 25, 1940 in Lake Wales, Florida to the late Tyler H. and Ruby (Hooten) Sumrall. She has been a lifelong resident of the area, she was a receptionist for Florida’s Natural for 54 years. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband Haywood Newell.

She is survived by her daughter Buddy Hamlin and husband Duane, 2 grandchildren Meghan and Katlin.

Visitation will be held 1:00PM until service time at 2:00PM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
