Mary Nell Montgomery

Mary Nell Montgomery of Lake Wales passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at her son’s residence.

She was born March 6, 1933, in Darlington, Florida to the late Fred and Alice Spann; she has been a life-long resident of Lake Wales. She was a retired citrus grader in the citrus processing industry and was a member of the West Side Baptist Church of Lake Wales. She was heavily involved in the church, mainly in the kitchen. She also enjoyed puzzles and was dedicated to her family.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, JW Montgomery in 1986. Survivors include sons; Roy Montgomery and his wife Karla of Babson Park, FL and Wayne Montgomery of Lake Wales; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-3 pm with the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating.
