Mary Carol Crews

Mary Carol Crews, age 68, of Lake Wales entered peacefully into eternal rest on April, 14, 2018. Carol was born on October 1, 1949 to E.C. and Mary Sapp and spent her childhood and early adulthood in Tampa, FL. While completing her degree in Education and Library Science at the University of South Florida, she met and married her loving husband. After a couple of moves, her family settled in Lake Wales and Carol worked as an elementary school librarian (media specialist) for over 30 years, and most of those years were at her adored Babson Park Elementary School.

Carol was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales and enjoyed her many friendships and activities with the church. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, sister and nana.

Carol is survived by her husband of 48 years, David Crews, daughter Emily and husband Cary Splane, son Matthew Crews, grandchildren Madeline and Luke Splane, sister Kathy and husband Willard Brimm, and many, many wonderful friends and extended family members.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 20, at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
