Mary Lee Chavis

Mary Lee Chavis of Babson Park passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at her residence.

She was born March 2, 1920 in Baxley, GA to the late Ed & Addie (Hughes) Mock; and came here from Frostproof in 1956. She was retired from Donald Duck, Inc and of the Baptist faith.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Chavis; daughter, Shirley Peacock of Babson Park; sons, Daniel K. Chavis & Wyllene of Babson Park and H.D. "Curly" Chavis & Jeanie of Babson Park; sister, Willanora Kersey of Hazelhurst, GA; brother, David Mock of Westfield; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00pm, Sunday, February 20, 2011 and the funeral service will be held 2:00pm, Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
