Mary Lee Boyles Chauncey Caldwell

Mary Lee Boyles Chauncey Caldwell of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the University Community Health in Land O' Lakes.

She was born September 5, 1927 in Deland to the late John Lee & Janie B. Boyles; she came to Lake Wales from Deland in 1966. She was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and an active member of the First Baptist Church. She was in the church orchestra, choir, faith bible study class and a Sunday school teacher for 58 years.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Kirk Burnell Caldwell. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Gail Sweeney of Lake Wales, Linda D. Britts of Spring Hill and Barbara Monesson of Bellvue, CO; sons, Terry L. Caldwell of Little Rock, AR, Donald E. Chauncey of Miami, John Michael Chauncey of Lutz and Charles J. Avatar of Bradentown, NJ; brother, John A. Boyles of Orange City; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until the funeral service at 3:00pm, Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Scott Markley officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
