Mary Emma Blocker Anderson

Mary Emma Blocker Anderson of Lake Wales passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at The Groves Center.

She was born October 25, 1928 in Opp, Alabama to the late Louis O. & Etha Lee Blocker; she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Harvest Worship Center. She enjoyed family outings.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, E.W. "Andy" Anderson and a brother, Kuehl Blocker. Survivors include her daughter, Beverly A. & Danny Isom of Lake Wales; sister, Edna R. Anderson of Lake Wales; two grandchildren, Faye Isom and Mary Beth & Robbie Tew; one great-grandchild, Tatum Tew and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2009 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Lake Wales Cemetery with Rev. Steve Livingston and Rev. John Cannon officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Harvest Worship Center, 45 Dr. MLK Jr Blvd., Lake Wales, Florida 33853.
