Marvin Meeks

Marvin “Tump” Meeks, 88 of Frostproof passed away, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on January 12, 1927, in Cobbtown, Georgia. He was a retired truck driver from Crumbly Brothers Citrus. Tump was an avid fisherman and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Pearl; 8 children, 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home Frostproof with Bo Walden officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
