LAKE WALES -- Martha Kniffin of Lake Wales died of cancer Saturday (May 13, 2006) at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. She was 56.

Born in Pohokee on July 27, 1949, Mrs. Kniffin was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. She was a cashier for Futrals Grocery. She was a member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church.

She is survived by her father, Melvin Boyd, Babson Park; daughter, Dianna Mannis, Winter Haven; son, Lee Meeks, North Carolina; brother, J.M. Boyd, Lake Wales; sister, Vera Hester, Lake Wales; five grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales.
