LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Marion A. Chloupek of Lake Wales died of heart failure Saturday (Feb. 25, 2006) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 80.

Born in Milwaukee on May 22, 1925, she came to Lake Wales from there nine years ago. She was a retired deli manager. She was active in the drill team color guard in Milwaukee. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and served as the first president of the Post No. 9469 of the Fourth District. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Mrs. Chloupek is survived by her husband, Earl Chloupek; daughters, Karol Docter, Cascade, Wis., Sharon Knedle, West Allis, Wis., Karen Michalski, Franklin, Wis.; sons, Lawrence Knedle, Waupaca, Wis., Joseph Knedle, Racine, Wis.; stepdaughter, Linda Burns, Wisconsin; brother, Kenneth Wehr, Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening with a service at 6:30 p.m. at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.
