Marie Elizabeth Christian of Lake Wales passed away Monday, August 17, 2010 at The Groves Center.
She was born February 16, 1912 in New London, CT to the late Christopher and Bertha (Daring) Rockwell; and moved from Royal Palm Beach to Lake Wales in 2003. She was employed by Bradley's Department Store in New London, CT as a sales clerk, was of the Baptist faith and loved her family.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Christian and son, Edward Patton. Survivors include her daughters, Carole Marie Griffis of Lake Wales and Patricia Hargis; sister, Ruth Ross of Niantic, CT and Thelma Scranno of Groton, CT; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
