Marian J. Benson, 94, of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Dove Health Care in Lake Wales.

Born April 8, 1913 in Clarks Mills, PA; she and her husband Ted retired to Lake Wales in 1979 coming from West View, PA. She was a retired registered nurse for Jameson Hospital in New Castle, PA. She was a life long member of the First Untied Methodist Church in West View, PA and a former member of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed crafts.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Edwin Benson in 1981 and daughter, Susan Benson in 1963. Survivors include her daughter Charlotte Cooper of Reading, PA; sons, Thomas J. Benson of Normal, IL; Richard “Dick” Benson of Babson Park; two grandchildren, Scott Vaughn and Tanya McDonald and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Alexandria.

Funeral services will be held in Perrysville, PA with interment at Alleghney County Memorial Park Cemetery in Alleghney County, PA, under the direction of H.P. Brandt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in Lake Wales at a later date.
