Maria Lydia Rosado Hernandez, 77

Maria Lydia Rosado Hernandez of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born January 1, 1946 in Camuy, Puerto Rico to the late Andre and Rosa Rosado. Maria was a homemaker. She lived in Camden, New Jersey before moving to Lake Wales six months ago, prior to living in New Jersey, she lived in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Maria is survived by her daughters, Betzaida Fontanez of Orlando, Milagros Lopez of Camuy, Puerto Rico, and Noralys Santiago Curry and husband Jermaine of Camden, New Jersey; sons, Hector Lopez and girlfriend Carmen Rivera of Lake Wales, Alex Serrano of Camden, New Jersey, Victor Manuel Castro of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Joel Castro of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Melvin Castro and wife Elena of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Luis Velez of Bridgeport, Connecticut; sister, Margarita Rosado of Camuy, Puerto Rico; brothers, Nelson Hernandez of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Junior Hernandez of Bridgeport, Connecticut; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Pastor Rafael Morales officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
