Maria Carrero Lorenzo

Maria C. Lorenzo of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the Groves Center.

She was born January 3, 1926 in Puerto Rico to the late Isabel and Ventura (Valentin) Carrero; and came to Lake Wales from Winter Park, FL in 2000. Maria was retired from the Garment Center in New York where she worked sewing for 30 years, and was of the Catholic faith.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Nicacio Lorenzo and two sons, Wilfred and Antonio Lorenzo. Survivors include her daughter, Milagros Bonilla of Puerto Rico; son, Luis Lorenzo of Lake Wales; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the funeral service at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales, with Father Pedro Zapata officiating.
