Marguerite Matteson

E. Marguerite Matteson, age 93, of Orlando, FL passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 in Westminster Towers of natural causes.

She was born August 16, 1916 in Villa Grove, IL to the late Henry & Nora Sturm. In 1964 she moved with her husband and children to Lake Wales, FL where she lived until 1995, when she and her husband moved to Kissimmee, FL. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales, the Susannah Wesley Sunday School Class and the Lake Wales Women's Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Melvin E. Matteson, her daughter-in-law, Polly Hunt Matteson and her sister, Marion E. Thompson.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Kay Matteson of Greencastle, IN; two sons, John (LaDonna) Matteson of Lake Wales, FL and Jim (Barbara) Matteson of Orlando, FL; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday, July 17, 2010 and a graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
