Margaret M. “Marge” Nell, 83

Margaret M. “Marge” Nell of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at her residence.

She was born September 4, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Cornelius and Margaret Gillespie; she moved to Lake Wales from Ocean City, New Jersey 22 years ago. Marge was a homemaker and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending her time with her family.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, William S. “Bill” Nell in 2013; son, David Nell in 1972; one brother; and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret M. Moreland of North Carolina; sons, William S. Nell, III of Frostproof, John J. Nell and wife Nancy of Virginia, James P. Nell of Lake Wales, and Michael A. Nell of Lake Wales; brother, John Gillespie and wife Rita of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales with Father David Vargas officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice (chaptershealth.org).
