Margaret L. Smith

Margaret L. Smith of Frostproof passed away Thursday, January 09, 2014 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born June 19, 1921 in Fort Meade, FL to the late Charley & Sally Bone; and she came here from Haines City in 1937. She was retired from Ben Hill Griffin and was a member of the First Baptist Church since the 1940’s. She was also a member of the First Baptist Women’s Club.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Smith and a son, King Smith. Survivors include her sons, Craig Smith (Rosemary) of Frostproof and Jace Smith (Linda) of Frostproof; brother, Ralph Blount of Frostproof; and two grandchildren, Justin Smith and Chelle Smith.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until the funeral service at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery.
