Margaret L. Clemons

Margaret L. (Stokes) Clemons, 87, of Lake Wales passed away on Saturday, May 07, 2011 at the Grace Health Care in Lake Wales.

Margaret was born December 20, 1923 in Lake Wales, Florida to Emory and Oveida (Collier) Stokes. She was a Homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales, she was The First President of Lake Wales VFW Women’s Auxiliary, Lake Wales Girl Scout Leader, member of Daughters of the Confederacy, and she was involved with First Baptist Training Union, First Baptist Golden Heirs, and Young Girls Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron H. Clemons in 1985. Survivors include Daughters, Carol Valentine of Lake Wales, Jeanette Nelson (Vic) of Auburndale, Fl.; Sons, Rick Clemons ( Christine) of Sebastian, Fl, Randy Clemons (Shelley) of Lake Wales and David Clemons ( Cathy) of Lake Wales, Fl.; 14 Grandchildren and 11 great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery. Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
