MARGARET A. BINKLEY
Registered Nurse
LAKE WALES--Peacefully in her sleep, our beloved aunt and friend, Margaret A. Binkley, went to be with loved ones, family, and our Lord early Sunday, June 3, 2007. Known by close friends as “Bink”, or Maggie, Margaret was an adventurous soul who loved traveling, experiencing every continent but Antarctica, generous and giving. She enjoyed celebrating with friends and family alike.
Born and raised in Ohio, Margaret excelled as a Registered Nurse, lending her expertise wherever she went. She provided Memorial Hospital in Fremont, Ohio, with care and devotion. Relocating to the U.S. Virgin Islands after the death of her husband, Haldon, she became Staff Nurse Supervisor of the Island of St. Croix. Returning to Florida, she provided health care not only to Warner Southern College, but also tended the needs of inmates and staff at Polk Correctional near Haines City.
Though plagued by bothersome knees and poor health in her later years, she continued to plan for trips and outings, traveling as she could to enjoy the sights and camaraderie of dearly held friends. A small gathering is planned at Memorial Hospital in Fremont, Ohio, on Friday, the 3rd of August, her ashes having been interred next to her husband in Oakwood Cemetery at an earlier date. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome. For more information contact: Gordon D. Halley, 318 Steedly Avenue, Lake Wales, Florida 33853. (863) 676-9197
