Manuel Crespo, 88

Manuel V. Crespo of Lake Wales was born on January 12, 1934, in Santurce, Puerto Rico to the late Dr. Demetrio and Ramonita Crespo and passed away on March 1, 2022, at his home. He was a two tour Vietnam veteran, U.S. Coast Guard and USDA retiree. He was an active member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He loved golfing, fishing, cooking, sports, entertaining, and his church.

Manuel is preceded in death by his son Javier F. Crespo and his grandson Javier F. Crespo II.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carmen Crespo; his daughter Marilyn Crespo-Hicks and husband Lester of Orlando, FL; and sons Dr. Manuel O. Crespo and wife Karen of Edmund, OK, and Carlos L Crespo and wife Nikki of Apollo Beach, FL; daughter-in-law Eileen Crespo of Dundee, FL; and his brother Salvador Crespo and wife Carmen of Ocean Springs, MS; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Monday March 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Catholic Church in Lake Wales, FL.
