FROSTPROOF -- Mrs. Mamie Marie McIntyre of Frostproof died of lung failure Wednesday (Jan. 11, 2006) at Lake Wales Medical Center. She was 76.

Born in Marshall, N.C., on Dec. 2, 1929, she came to Frostproof from Lake Wales two years ago. She was a retired waitress for Donald Steine Restaurant. She was of the Church of God faith.

Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her husband, Jim D. McIntyre; son, J.C. McIntyre, Manasssas, Va.; brothers, Larson Shelton and Merlin Shelton, both of Marshall, N.C.; and sister, Viola Goswell, Marshall.

Burial will be in Marshall, N.C.
