RUBEN R. RODRIGUEZ, 79
Major Ruben R. Rodriguez of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at his residence.
He was born February 10, 1940 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to the late Juan and Rosenda (Rios) Rodriguez. He has been a resident of the area since 2002 coming from New York. He was a Pastor for The Salvation Army. He and his wife worked for The Salvation Army and was the Pastor at the Hispanic Church of God, Inc. in Ft. Meade, Florida.
He is survived by his wife Major Josefina R. Rodriguez, children Rene Rodriguez of NY, Ruben R. Rodriguez Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Wilson Rodriguez and wife Amy of Columbia, SC, Linda R. Rodriguez and husband Luis Eduardo Herrera of Lake Wales, FL, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brothers Rev. Candelario Rodriguez, Neftali Rodriguez, Aristalco Rodriguez, sisters Carmen Gomez, Osdavia Sierra, Brisaida Olivera, Noemi Garcia, Minerva Sanchez, Sonia Padilla,
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home and Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Primera Iglesia Cristiana Adoram Church in Dundee. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Hispanic Church of God, Inc. (for Church expansion) at P.O. Box 2305 Lake Wales, Florida.
