FROSTPROOF -- Mrs. Macy Cornelius of Frostproof died of heart failure Sunday (Aug. 27, 2006) at Florida Hospital in Sebring. She was 67.

Born in Cordele, Ga., on Nov. 14, 1938, she lived in Frostproof for 19 years before returning from Mapleton Depot, Pa., in 1974. She retired from Ben Hill Griffin in the fresh fruit division. She was a sorority member and a member of First Baptist Church in Frostproof.

Mrs. Cornelius is survived by her daughter, Theresa Cornelius,Frostproof; sons, Walter M. Cornelius Jr., Tampa, Donald L. and John Robert Cornelius, both of Frostproof; brother, Bobby Lee Youngblood, Frostproof; sister, Annette Youngblood Serdynski, Alturas; eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Frostproof. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.
