Mack Black

Mack Black of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born March 10, 1932 in Connersville to the late Jack and Maude (Tidwell) Black, and has been a lifelong resident of this area. He was a retired Service Manager for Firestone, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

Mack was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn Black. Survivors include his daughters, Carolyn Present of Orlando, Peggy Tucker of Lake Wales; son, Jerry Black of Babson Park; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, January 4, 2010 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales, with interment following at Lake Wales Cemetery. Visitation 3:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2010.
