MILTON CALVIN HAYNES, JR., 82
Milton Calvin Haynes, Jr. of Lake Wales passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at The Groves Center.
He was born July 23, 1933 in Lake Wales to the late Milton Calvin & Blanche Prescott Haynes; he was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. He retired from Citrus World after 31 years and a charter member of the Golfview Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir for 35 years. He enjoyed watching old movies, his favorite was “It’s A Wonderful Life”; he also enjoyed relaxing in his Jacuzzi. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at the Groves Center and Vitas Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Helen Huffman Shuping Haynes; step-son, William “Bill” Shuping of Sebring; step-granddaughters, Cybelle Shuping of Orlando and Lara Shuping of Sebring.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Chaplain Steve Kearney officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
