Luz E. Lopez of Lake Wales passed away Friday, April 17, 2026 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.
She was born May 23, 1936 in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico to the late Santos Ferrer and Francisca Laracuente; she came here 18 years ago from Miami. She was a homemaker all her life. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed cooking and knitting.
Her late husband, Genaro A. Lopez, Sr. of 57 years. Her survivors daughter, Elsa Worley and her husband, Mark of Lake Wales; sons, Gene Lopez, Jr. of Riverview and Alberto Lopez and his wife, Paola of Mesa, AZ.
Her late siblings: Emma, Mildred, Alfredo, and Sonia all of Cabo Rojo, P.R.; survivor brother, David of New Jersey.
She had six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private graveside service will be held at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
