Lula Missouri Johnson

Lula Missouri Johnson, 100, of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Dove Health Care.

She was born June 22, 1909 in Madison, FL to the late Lonnie & Ellen (Malone) Fox; she came here in 1948 from Okeechobee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

Lula was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Johnson in 1996, a son, Lonnie Kirkland in 2004 and a sister, Leona Albritton. Survivors include her daughters, Viola Cauthorn of Land O Lakes, Minnie Albritton of Lake Wales and Lois Johnson of Lake Wales; 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, September 11, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral service will be held 11:00, Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
