Lucille Ritchie Keefer

January 21, 1919 — March 15, 2013

Lucille Ritchie Keefer, 94, passed away of a dementia related illness, Friday, March 15, 2013 at The Groves Center.

She was born January 21, 1919 in Miller County, Georgia to Ben and Fannie Sheffield Ritchie and moved to Lake Wales in 1943. Lucille was retired from Mountain Lake Corporation as a domestic. She enjoyed her church, her quilting club, her little dog Midge and had many friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, James K. “Bud” Keefer in 1985 and a son-in-law, Billy W. Antley, Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Shelva J. Antley of Lake Wales, Carolyn J. Coarsey (John) of Sebring and Wanda L. Harrell (Roy) of Lake Wales; step-sons, Jay Keefer (Jennifer) of Lake Wales and Jerry Keefer (Kaye) of McDonough, GA; seven grandchildren, Billy W. Antley, Jr., Gena Patrice Wolfley, Diana D. Albritton, Andy Buffington, Desiree R. Chasse, Nikkie D. Howell and Brian R. Howell; 12 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, March 18, 2013 and the funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Scott Markley and Rev. Barry Hooten officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
