Lowell Thomas Piper, 87

Lowell Thomas Piper of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at his daughter's residence.

He was born May 5, 1935, in Uniontown, Kentucky to the late Frank and Ruth Piper; he moved to Lake Wales from his hometown 63 years ago. Lowell was a bookkeeper for FFE trucking before retiring. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven, a Bible scholar, and a prayer warrior. Lowell enjoyed church baseball and softball, and basketball. He especially enjoyed watching UK basketball, and UF football. His family was the joy of his life and he could always be found rocking his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren to sleep.

Lowell is preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Dunbar Piper and his 5 sisters.

Lowell is survived by his wife of 11 years, Minnie Grey Piper; daughter, LaDonna Piper Fisher of Lake Wales; son, Gregory Dwaine Piper of Winter Haven; grandchildren, David, Danielle, Shanna, and Stephanie; and greatgrandchildren, Titan, Macee, Anna, Jackson, Owen, Ethan, Elizabeth, Emmy, Hannah, and Edward.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven.
