Louise “Lee” Lyons, 101

Louise “Lee” Lyons of Lake Wales passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born October 22, 1923 in New York, New York to the late Louis and Apolonia Sustar; she moved to Lake Wales from Miami in 2007. Lee was a hospital lab technician and a payroll clerk for a hospital in New York. In her youth, she sang opera and played piano. She enjoyed dancing and music was her entertainment. Lee previously volunteered with the USO during World War 2 as a hat check girl.

Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Russell A. Lyons in 2015. She is survived by her daughters, Russette Lyons of Cambridge, Massachusetts and Dorette Lyons of Lake Wales.
