Louise Godwin

Louise Godwin of Frostproof passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born December 15, 1922 in Tupelo, MS to the late Lonnie & Flossie (Simmons) Anderson; she came here in 1944 from Crawfordsville, AR. She was retired from Ben Hill Griffin Packing House and attended the Frostproof Church of God. She enjoyed making a home for her family.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Godwin in 2004; and a son, Stanley Godwin in 1967. Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Husband-Jerry) Peace of Lakeland; sisters, Mary Jane Gross of Frostproof and Lucille Steen of West Memphis, AR; brothers, Don Anderson of Frostproof and Howard Anderson of Auburndale; two grandchildren, Jessika French and Jason (Wife-Kelly) French; and four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Nathan, Sierra and Trey.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof with Rev. Rex Daniels.
