Louise E. Ferrell

Louise E. Ferrell of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born March 22, 1927 in Lake Wales to the late Jesse and Ellie (Woods) Emmett, and has been a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. She was a member of Central Avenue Baptist Church, loved art, crafts, quilting, music and enjoyed gardening.

Louise was preceded in death by her daughter, Ginger Curry. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, James E. Ferrell; sons, Mike Ferrell of Lake Wales, Rick Ferrell of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Afton Emmett of Lake Wales, Narvie Emmett of Dallas, TX (White Settlement, TX); four grandchildren, Sean Curry, Shanna Langieri, Deanna Ferrell, Kelly Ferrell; and one great-grandchild, Ryan.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society (Florida Division, Inc., P.O. Box 13600, Tampa, FL 33681-3600).
