Louise Danford

Louise Danford of Lake Wales passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Life Care Center in Winter Haven.

She was born September 5, 1926 in Coffee County, AL to the late Henry Matheny and Claudia M. (Banks) Salter; she came to Lake Wales 62 years ago from Coffee County, AL. She was retired from Mountain Lake and a member of the Golfview Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of, and spending time with, her family and reading her bible.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Foye Danford in 1985 and a son, Ellis Danford in 2007. Survivors include her daughter, Bobbie & Raulie Morse of Lakeland; son, Mike & Karen Danford of Lake Wales; daughter-in-law, Loretta Danford of Lee, FL; sisters, Betty Holbrook of Lake Wales and Nell Meeks of Enterprise, AL; 4 grandchildren, Renee Smalley of Sebring, Janelle Storck of Arden, VA, Burt Morse of Lakeland and Erika Danford of Wesley Chapel; 5 great-grandchildren, Payton Smalley, Taylor Storck, Katie Storck, Eli Storck and the late Jacob Storck.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Lake Wales Cemetery in Lake Wales with Rev. David Tucker officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Lake Wales Care Center.
