Louis William “Bill” Wagner, Jr., 91
Bill Wagner of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Winter Haven Hospital.
He was born October 24, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Louis & Elsie Wagner; he spent 17 of his best years in California and was transferred to Florida in 1990 with his job; he moved to the area from Fort Lauderdale in 1998. Bill was a retired auditor for American Express and a veteran of the United States Army, who served during the Korean War. He was formerly a Board Member of the Orange Belt Bowling Association and a League Secretary; he was also a member of the Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge. Bill enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was mowing the yard, fishing, cooking out or spending time on the boat with his family. He told the best stories and was a walking encyclopedia. He loved ancestry and spending time with his family. His smile and laughter were infectious; he lived a life full of love and will be dearly missed.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janice Wagner; daughters, Pam Pistole and husband Gary of Babson Park, and Teri Brescia and husband Scott of Winter Haven; sons, Ed Wagner and Karen of Longmont, Colorado, and Bob Wagner and wife Amy Wagner of Cypress Gardens; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
